Congratulations i_BuNtIng-_- for taking the top step in our Grid Finder livery competition!
The members were set the task of creating a livery on any Gr3 car that took their choosing, the only condition was that GF needed to be a main/title sponsor.
We had 13 entries and after the GF management team whittled it down, the top 3 went to a public vote across GF's social media outlets.
This stunning Toyota FT-1 took the honors, pipping 2nd place by just 2 points!
A massive thank you to GF for judging the competition and a huge thank you and well done to all the entrants.
GF is a brilliant website, where you can find sim racing leagues for almost any game on any platform. You can also find livery editors and commentators if you need to.
VRC is a GF Approved League, which means they have evaluated us and our procedures and deem us a great place to race.

Our next 2.5 hour race has been confirmed. Drivers will take to the 2016 Gr2 (Super GT) cars and their Gr3 counterparts to slog it out in the shadow of Mt Fuji, Japan.
The track is famous for not just its surroundings, but the layout also. The long start finish straight with the sharp hairpin of turn 1 usually lends itself to some great overtaking opportunities. The twisty nature of the rest of the track means that drivers will need to manage their tyres to get the best distance out of their stints.
Qualifying and the race will be streamed live via our YouTube channel with commentary from the excellent VRC_Thingymajig (Ryan McCartney).
Quailifying - 16/04/2021 @20.00 (GMT)
Race - 23/04/2021 @20.00 (GMT)
Further details of driver roster will be available when ready.
All but 1 driver completed the gruelling 2 and a half hour slog around the mountain track that is Bathurst. We had stories after of old ailments reappearing, many had aching arms, legs and those who use a pad had blisters on their thumbs, which goes to show that it was a hard and arduous race.
Matt Sykes and the rest of the VRC community has managed to raise a whopping £1000 (200% of our original target) for the Sick Children's Trust through our Bathurst 2.5 Hour event.
I'd personally like to say a huge thank you to Matt Sykes for bringing the idea forward,
Scott Pritchard for using his endurance series as the platform and testing and organising the event,
Ryan McCartney for yet another stellar performance commentating the entire event from start to finish,
Ian Thomson for setting up the Just Giving page,
and all the drivers who took part, and all the spectators that cheered them on.

We have decided to use our 2.5 hour events to help raise money for charity. The next event will be on 22/01/21, with the race on 29/01/21 and we will be raising funds for The Sick Children's Trust.
This charity was first brought to our attention by MattSyko, who regular viewers will have seen that he uses a SCT race liveries.
SCT help families be close to their children whilst undergoing hospital treatment, by being able to provide accommodation for the parents. Take a look at what they do here; https://www.sickchildrenstrust.org/
We hope that you will be able to help us support this great charity, especially when funding for charities is so difficult at the moment.
If you would like to support SCT please donate as much or as little as you can via our Just Giving page, here; https://www.justgiving.com/fundraising/virtualracersclub
Grid Finder is a fairly new way of finding a sim racing league that suits you, no matter your time zone, platform and almost any game. Obtaining their approval is HUGE achievement for us and the VRC community. Thanks to Tim Bunty and all the guys at Grid Finder for the early Christmas present.
Since joining VRC earlier in the year Shadowrider92 has grown into a fantastic racer and an ever frequent visitor of the VRC podium.
There are no lengths these 2 wont go to when helping others out in the community. As much as the admin team tried, separating them proved impossible. Thankyou Pat and Meaca
(Livery of the year)
This livery was created by VRC_skyjacker for Ktulu to use in WRX Challenge season 1.
Members of our Discord server were asked to nominate their favorite VRC race worn livery.
A server vote was then held.
Bumps and bangs happen in all forms of motorsport, but what makes a big difference is how you carry your self after. Cale is always impeccable and has the principles of a saint
(Service to VRC)
On our first outting with these things we figured that there was no other person worthy of the inaugral award than the guy who founded VRC.
Talarand, Thankyou from everyone at VRC.
(Driver of the year)
We have some quality drivers in our midst at VRC, choosing a stand out racer was not an easy task. Mattssyko stood out from the rest right from his first race with us. And has grown into a fast, firm and fair racer. Well done Matt, thankyou
